What is Reiki and the Benefits?


Reiki is a practical healing therapy.  A form of vibrational healing developed in Japan.

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on energy technique that is used for stress reduction and relaxation.  Reiki induces a powerful relaxation response, which allows you to heal more quickly on a physical, mental, and emotional levels.  Reiki treats the whole person including the body, mind, spirit and emotions, and creates many beneficial effects. 

The effects of Reiki are cumulative and always of benefit, as the energy balances and recharges the body’s natural ability to heal.  While one session can work wonders, repeated regular Reiki treatments are supportive of our well-being and can change your life profoundly in positive ways.

The Reiki practitioner does not control where the energy flows, but the energy will always flow where it is needed most in the body.  Reiki is NOT a magic cure for any ailment, it is always safe and helpful.  Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions nor do they prescribe or perform medical treatment.  Reiki is a complementary methodology of energy healing that works with and supports all other wellness treatments, however, Reiki is NOT a replacement for medical care.

Reiki takes place as you recline fully clothed.  As the Reiki practitioner places his\her hands lightly on your body, you might feel different feelings, thoughts, or emotions.  The practitioners hands might feel warm, even hot, and deeply soothing.  Each hand placement brings a sense of ease into another part of your body, and the busyness of your mind opens into an inner peace.
